Thanking God for another day because we were born to be a blessing!

Born to be a Blessing is a boots-on-the-ground outreach that goes into the streets to serve others in the Detroit area and also surrounding communities in the suburbs several times a month to distribute clothing, lunches, hygiene kits, Bibles, prayer and encouragement to those in need.

 

B2BAB is passionate about going after the often forgotten - meeting their physical needs while pointing them to Jesus, the One who can supply so much more.

We are constantly amazed at how God uses us. Every month, we have testimonies of how our lunches provided much-needed nourishment - just in time. How our hugs and prayers have given hope to the hopeless. How our personal testimonies have spurred someone to surrender their life to Jesus. How a listening ear has shown someone that they matter.

We're not just handing out goods.

We are showing people Jesus!

Below are several ways that you can donate to help with our bus outreach, Born To Be A Blessing so that we can continue to reach those in need.

    •B2BAB hands out between 300-500 hygiene kits every month.

  • •1.4 million Michiganders fall below the poverty level.

  • • 43% or 4.3 million of working Michigan households struggle to afford the necessities like housing, childcare, food, technology, health care and transportation. To afford the basics, single adults need a salary of just over $21,000.

    •Stats show that in 2022 there were 8,206 people homeless on any given night in Michigan.

  • •Each month sack lunches are handed out and on average over 5,000 will be handed out per year from our blessing bus.

•We always welcome volunteers that would like to travel with us on the bus to hand out items to those in need.

•At this time we are looking to fill our calendar with groups, teams, or churches etc. that would like to sign up monthly or quarterly to commit to making lunches so that our B2BAB team can go and hand them out.

•Also if you have any unused extra shampoos, soaps & lotions etc. from your stay in hotels we would love to take them off your hands so that we can put them to good use for our hygiene kits.
